Education & Science

Our educational and scientific programme

Six distinct areas of activity. Each is described according to its current stage of development; activities still in preparation are labelled as such.

In preparation

Scientific congress

A scientific meeting for research presentations, structured discussion and professional exchange between colleagues working in endoscopic facial surgery.

The congress is a scientific forum: papers, outcome data and moderated debate. It is distinct from courses that include surgical observation or laboratory teaching.

In preparation

Monographic courses

Focused educational courses covering defined techniques and indications within endoscopic facial surgery.

Each course concentrates on a single subject area so that participants can examine technique, planning and decision-making in depth.

In preparation

Practical laboratories

Supervised anatomical and technical learning in a laboratory setting.

Laboratory teaching is hands-on and supervised. It is organised separately from the scientific congress and follows the requirements of the host institution.

Under development

Fellowship pathway

A structured training pathway for surgeons seeking sustained, mentored experience.

The planned ISEFS fellowship will comprise four weeks of training, which may be distributed across approved host centres and completed within one year. Society membership will be a prerequisite. Detailed selection criteria and host arrangements are being developed; membership will not guarantee a placement.

In preparation

Webinars and educational resources

Online sessions and a resource library supporting continuing professional learning between meetings.

Resources are intended for members and course participants under their published terms. Schedules will be published once confirmed.

Planned

Scientific collaboration

Planned registry and consensus activities to support shared learning from outcomes.

Collaborative work is planned rather than active. Any registry or consensus process will follow appropriate scientific and data-protection standards.

A note on what these activities are

ISEFS will develop a coordinated programme of scientific congresses, focused monographic courses, practical laboratories, webinars, fellowship training and collaborative scientific work. Dates, faculty and participation requirements will be published once the relevant programme has been approved.
